As indicated on the preceding article, we continue the adjusted one of the system rest in the attempt to reduce progressively the inaccuratezza causes to the return to battery and contextually, to search for the munitioning with better grouping performances in pink. Come accennato sul precedente articolo, proseguiamo la messa a punto del sistema rest nel tentativo di ridurre progressivamente le cause di inaccuratezza al ritorno in batteria e contestualmente, ricercare il munizionamento con migliori performances di raggruppamento in rosata.
For the evaluation of the return in battery
we have provided the rest with optic laser. Like visible at the photos, in order to improve the repeatability of collimation of the laser, we have positioned the layer based on the system, there where it undergoes fewer shakings and movement stress, pointing it to a prism that rotates of 90th one the bundle in the way of directing it towards the target. The only part in movement will be then the prism, monolithic structure to be stuck simply on a united surface with the swinging arm of the rest. Per la valutazione del ritorno in batteria abbiamo dotato il rest di ottica laser. Come visibile dalle foto, al fine di migliorare la ripetibilità di collimazione del laser, abbiamo posizionato il puntatore sulla base del sistema, lì dove subisce meno scuotimenti e stress di movimento, puntandolo su di un prisma che ruota di 90° il fascio in modo da direzionarlo verso il bersaglio. L’unica parte in movimento sarà quindi il prisma, struttura monolitica da incollare semplicemente su di una superficie solidale con il braccio oscillante del rest.
The system works projecting on the target to 25m a red "spot" approximately wide 1.5/2cm, quite visibly with the covered sky. The trace laser, suffering from a natural divergence of focusing, does not turn out to be unfortunately punctiform but, of still sufficient dimensions to make any evaluations on the riallineamento of the rest. Il sistema funziona proiettando sul bersaglio a 25m una “macchia” rossa approssimativamente larga 1.5/2cm, ben visibile con il cielo coperto. La traccia laser, affetta da una naturale divergenza di focalizzazione, non risulta purtroppo puntiforme ma, di dimensioni ancora sufficienti per effettuare qualche valutazione sul riallineamento del rest.
The proofs in course will allow us to quantify the precision counter in battery. At the same time more combinations are valued between typology of bullet and characteristics of the propellant. The first results of the experimentation are great numbers to be followed: Le prove in corso ci consentiranno di quantificare la precisione di ritorno in batteria. Nel contempo si stanno valutando più combinazioni tra tipologia di proiettile e caratteristiche del propellente. I primi risultati della sperimentazione sono visibili a seguire:

On the targets the grouping pink one is already better than all that obtained previously, when first proofs were passing in fact about 50mm to somewhat more of 30mm in the last proofs. For the great quantity of examined combinations, the tests are made quickly without optimising at most the cartridge but trying to skim quickly the combinations on which it is worth the punishment to stop the attention. Above we have shown two of the best combinations for the moment tried: with ball copper plated TC 124gr of the Frontier/NTW that seems to promise much well (we thank the doctor Massimo Morto for the indications) and more far down, with ball TC FMJ 123gr of the Bows. Sui bersagli il raggruppamento di rosata è già migliore di quanto ottenuto precedentemente, passando infatti da circa 50mm delle prime prove a poco più di 30mm nelle ultime prove. Per la grande quantità di combinazioni esaminate, i test vengono effettuati rapidamente non ottimizzando al massimo la cartuccia ma tentando di scremare velocemente le combinazioni su cui vale la pena soffermare l’attenzione. Sopra abbiamo mostrato due delle migliori combinazioni per il momento sperimentate: con palla TC ramata da 124gr della Frontier/NTW che sembra promettere molto bene (ringraziamo il dr. Massimo Mortola per le indicazioni) e più in basso, con palla TC FMJ da 123gr della Fiocchi.
